Retro Rubber Fruity Fun

Time to pull out your fruit related stamps and make something fun!

I was in need of a get well card, so I choose a set from Technique Tuesday called Funny Fruits released in 2018.  Makes for a cute card!

The color scheme is from my Color Cubes #917 and the sketch is Sheetload of Cards for June 2026.

  • The image is stamped in Tuxedo Blank and colored with Versa Color inks in Canary, Lime and Topaz.  It is die cut with the matching die.
  • The sentiments is stamped in VersaFine Clair Monarch and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
  • Pink & Main's Stitched Arches were used to created the focal point frame.
  • Searching through my scraps I found two patterned papers to complete the sketch.  These were die cut with Waffle Flower Piercing Layer dies.
  • All the layers are adhered to a A2 top folding card.

All the creative possiblities of a Tic Tac Toe!

We love to see all the options that happen when the challenge is a Tic Tac Toe over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  Here are your choices:

I choose die cut or punch, stripes, and my choice.  I've been playing around with Color Cubes, and this card using #98 for inspiration.

  • The background on the top is Concord & 9th's In the Meadow Turn-a-bout released in 2022.  Altenew inks in Maple Yellow and Cherry Sweet, along with Memento Love Letter and Rose bud were used to ink the stamp for each successive turn.
  • Christina Werner's Layered Plaid Stencil was used to create the matching stripes.
  • Die cuts from the In the Meadow set are inked with coordinating colors as are the edges of the layers.
  • A Fiskars border punch is used to punch yellow cardstock.
  • Pinkfresh Studios Double Stitched Oval die cut is stamped with Scrapbook.com's Birthday sentiment.
  • The layers are adhered together.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you play along with us at Retro Rubber!
