There are several blogs out in the blog sphere that conveniently list all the crafting challenges;
Challenge
for Days and Paper Playful
are the two I frequent. These are
wonderful places to kick start your mojo!
As I am more focused on scrapbooking I decided to create a master list
of all the scrapbook challenges I could find.
With a little research and some help from online friends I have come up
with the list that follows.
Each site has their own guidelines and rules. In general, all challenges require the
following:
1. New entries with no back-linking.
2.
Link directly to your post, not to your
blog. Some allow linking with other social
media options.
3.
Link to the back to challenge website itself.
Unique to each challenge can be listed in seven areas:
1.
Dates that challenges are listed and due dates.
2.
Whether you must follow, use a specific
company product, or include challenge image.
3.
Types of projects allowed.
4.
How many entries in the specific challenge.
5.
How (or what) other challenges may be entered
with the project.
6.
How winners are chosen, if a prize is given and
how it is claimed.
7.
If top entries are selected or Guest Designer
opportunities are offered.
I focused on blogs that offer primarily scrapbook
challenges, a few include other options but encourage scrapbooking. There are many Facebook
groups that offer challenges, but you typically need to join private
groups. There are also a few blogs that
offer challenges but have entries on Facebook.
In my research, I’ve come across over two dozen . . . too many for me to
join each of the private groups to access the information when there are so
many others blog challenges available. I may continue to research these options when time allows.
In my search, I’ve found one active blog that list current
scrapbook challenges. On the first
of the month the Australian Adventures of a
Dyspraxic Organised Scrapper posts a great list that breaks the challenges
into Australia based and international.
I figured if I took the time to collect the information, I may as well share it with others! Please note that that I will not list the current challenge, just links to the challenges and the basic rules as known. If you have additions you would like to see added please send me a message. If you have more information than what I have listed, or you see something that is not correct, again please let me know! Thank you!
