Anything Goes! time at Retro Rubber

Everyone's favorite to showcase your latest, greatest make!  Anything goes at Retro Rubber!

Sometimes I just take time to sit and play with my crafting stash.  This is one of those times! I also had a huge number of birthday's coming up, so there was a purposed behind creating some pretty images.

This is one of six cards created from this same stamped image.  All of the cards look different as the image was cut at differently and placed on the card front.
  • The image is Altenew's Flourishing Garden released in 2023.  The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I had a small selection of Altenew Fresh Die inks and used them to stencil in the layers.  Blue Horizons, Teal Tempest, honeydew Flow, Lemonade Stand  and Perodolite.
  • This kit include an embossing folder as well.  The cardstock I had to match wasn't large enough to create a full width card panel, so being creative I inked the edges in Teal Tempest after pressure embossing the cardstock.
  • After I decided on the placement of the floral images I trimmed the edges off of the card front and adhered the layers together.
  • I also just realized that that same Scrapbook.com Happy Birthday sentiment was also featured on a recent card here on the blog.  This time it is stamped on yellow cardstock in the Teal Tempest and die cut.

Come and have fun with us and show us what you have created that is your favorite Anything Goes!  Just a few guidelines to follow:

  • We require stamps older than one year.  If we feel you are using newer stamps, you may be disqualified from the challenge without notification.
  • New papers/dies are OK – but you must use at least one stamp older than a year and describe the age in your blog post.

Tic tac Toe! Pick your favorites!

Tic Tac Toe stretches your imagination, as you selected which row or column to use!  Here is this fortnight's selection from Retro Rubber.

One of my favorite ways to color images is to use stencils.  For me the easy peasy way works best,  I've never really enjoyed coloring with alcohol pens.  One has to know what her skill set is!  I enjoy the Pinkfresh Studio images, and their first stencil sets came out with the long stamps that could stamp, color, and die cut all in one for multiple images.  This is the first of two cards created that met the Die Cut/Stencil/Sequins diagonal.

  •  Pinkfresh Studio's Sunflowers from March of 2022 is used to create the flower images.  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Blank and colored with the stencil set in Memento Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves, Rich Cocoa, Elderberry, Dandelion and Versafine Clair in Cheerful.  The set was released early to Support Ukraine, it was ready but not released--then the war in Ukraine began.  I love sunflowers too!
  • The background is Pinkfresh's Argyle Stencil with a very feminine touch done in Memento Dandelion and Elderberry.  Several different colors of sequins are used to decorate the intersections and are adhered with wet adhesive.
  • To add more interest a very old Spellbinders die, Floral Ovals from 2011 is die cut.  The center is die cut with a Spellbinders Petite Oval.  The frame is mounted to the base with dimensional foam adhesive.  The flowers are adhered to the frame, and supported with dimensional foam adhesive.
  • Scrapbook.com's Happy Birthday stamp and die set is the sentiment.  The cardstock was inked with Memento Dandelion then stamped in Elderberrty to carry the color throughout the card design.

Here is the second card from the same stamping session.

  • The background is Sizzix's 3D Textured Cobblestone with the edges inked in Versafine Clair Cheerful.
  • The card base edges are inked in Memento Pear Tart.
  • The Sentiment is Perfect Sentiments foiled with Auro Glimmer foil.

Do come and play with us at Retro Rubber, we would love to see your work!  There are a few challenge guidelines:

  • We require stamps older than one year.  If we feel you are using newer stamps, you may be disqualified from the challenge without notification.
  • New papers/dies are OK – but you must use at least one stamp older than a year and describe the age in your blog post.

Color Challenge for Retro Rubber #259

Summer time!  We have a great color challenge for the next two weeks.  Please play along with us at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.

Honestly my first impression was of the colors of our rival University in the state of Oregon.  BUT I decided I could work through the rivalry and go with flowers!

  • The flower image is Kind Cosmos from Technique Tuesday released in 2019.  Sadly, Technique Tuesday closed their doors a few years ago.  I am thankful for the smattering of smaller floral images with matching dies.
  • The image is stamped in Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  Derwent Watercour Pencils are used to create the color gradient on the flowers and leaves.  Cosmos have very feathery foliage.   The matching die is used to die cut the image.
  • The Thanks sentiment is from TT Echinacea  set, and is water colored to match the flowers.
  • Pinkfresh Studio Slim Ornate Banner is used to create the shaped background.
  • Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Retcangles created the base from patterned paper.
  • All the layers are adhered together.

This card was fairly simple to put together, and the finished product is nice and simple for a thank you for summer time.  Thank you for stopping by!  Please play along with our Retro Rubber challenge!

A Special Birthday Card for the Tic Tac Toe

Tic Tac Toe boards are always fun, and so many different ways to for projects to be created.  Try your hand at this challenge from Retro Rubber.

My mom's birthday is at the beginning of June so I created a special card for her using one of Heartfelt Creations (HC) sets released in 2018, Butterfly Dreams.  I do miss the delicate whimsical images that Heartfelt Creations was known for as they retired in 2024.  Glad I have these to play with!

  • Butterfly Dreams paper pack was used for the background and banner.  The background is spritzed with Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray in Sparkle using the The Crafter's Workshop Mini Flutterby stencil.  It is easier to see in person. The edges are inked in Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy.
  • White cardstock was die cut the HC Regal Borders and Pocket die.
  • Butterfly Kisses Border is stamped in  Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy and heat embossed with iridescent embossing powder.  The images are watercolored with Memento Luxe dual tip pens scribbled on a work mat.  Angel Pink, Rose bud, New Sprout, Summer Sky, Danube Blue, and Tangelo are used.  The image is die cut with matching die and gently shaped with the flower shaping kit.
  • Purrfect Posies by HC released in 2019 creates the flowers with the stamp, die, and mold combination.  The flowers are water-colored  with Memento Dual Tip markers in Lilac Posies, and the leaves are water-colored with New Sprout.  The centers of the flowers are filled with Perfect Pearls and Prills in Sweet Shoppe by Artquest.
  • The sentiment is from the HC set and is stamped in Memento Luxe Lilac Posies and heat embossed with iridescent embossing powder.  It was hand cut and then edged in Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy.
  • The layers are carefully adhered together using liquid adhesive, glue dots and dimensional foam.

This labor of love did take awhile to create, but I am sure my Mom really enjoyed her card.  She saves them all and eventually returns them to me.

Please do join along with us at Retro Rubber and play along with our challenge.  We would love to see what you create!   We do have a few simple rules.

Muted Spring Color Challenge at Retro Rubber

Spring has sprung!  Time for a fun color challenge over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.

This is a peachy orange with a touch of olive green and teal.  My choice was to use a Concord & 9th Triple Step Floral Frame stamp and die sets released in October, 2021.

  • The base layer is stamped in Versa Color Winter Green and Versa Magic Persimmon, Mango, and Red Brick.
  • Another layer of individual flowers is stamped in Versa Color Fresh Green, and the Versa Magic colors.
  • The frame die created a lovely outline that was inked in Mango.
  • The A2 card base is inked in Versa Color Fresh Green before assembly.
  • The individual flowers are die cut and layered over the base layer.
  • The sentiment, from the same set is stamped in Versa Magic Red Brick.

Thanks for stopping by and come play along!

Sweet Spring Flowers for Retro Rubber

Are there flowers blooming in your yard?  Not quite yet in mine here in Northern Minnesota--but soon.  I have starts going inside the house and visits to the Amish Greenhouses 45 minutes away are in the plans soon.  Our challenge at Retro Rubber for the next two weeks is to create a card with spring flowers.

I recently sat down and had a play session with a great set from Altenew in 2021, Build-a-flower Bearded Iris.  The lovely Iris comes in many colors and I experimented with several different choices.  Once I had the layering set up on my stamp platform I made eight different flowers in four different colors.

  • The leaves and stems are Memento in Pistachio, Bamboo Leaves, and Olive Grove.
  • The yellow Iris is Memento in Dandelion, Cantaloupe, and Tangelo.
  • The pink Iris is Memento in Angel Pink Lilac Posies, and Rose Bud.
  • The flowers and leaves are die cut with the matching die.
  • This background is Black-out Distressed Cardstock from Coordinations pressure embossed with Darice Damask embossing floder and then sanded to bring out the distressed green design.
  • The sentiment Happy Birthday is by Scrapbook.com from the set named the same from 2022 and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on the green side of the cardstock used to make the embossed panel.  That way it matches perfectly.  BTW if you are looking for a very versatile Birthday greeting set, the one by Scrapbook.com has about any design you could want!
  • The corners are rounded on an A2 size card, and the layers are adhered together with wet glue and allowed to dry.

One of the cards was sent to my daughter, the others are in my stash for future use!

Challenge time with a Tic Tac Toe

Another two week challenge at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  This particular board was my choice, so super fun to play along!

The decision to use as much of the challenge of possible was easy!  I missed stitching and Sequins/gems as the card seemed complete at this point.

  •  The background is pearlized vellum pressure embossed with Darice Basket Weave embossing folder.
  • The stamp is Pink Fresh Painted Peony from March 2021.  It was stamped in Delicata Silver and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  This was one of the first stamp sets I owned that stencils were available to color the image.  Memento ink in Angel Pink, Rose Bud, Lilac Posies, Dandelion, Cantaloupe, Morocco, New Sprout, and Cottage Ivy.   The set also had a dies to match the stamps.  Very fun!
  • The Sentiment is Altenew Elegant Saying released in 2023 stamped in Delicata Silver and heat embossed to match the stamped focal image.
  • The front of the card was pierced on each edge of the vellum that was mounted to the card base.  The twine from my stash was threaded through and tied in a bow.

Your turn!  Play along with us at Retro Rubber and create your own card!

Everyone's favorite challenge, Anything Goes with Retro Rubber!

The title says it all, anything goes for a project at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog this fortnight.

I have a few oversize floral images in my stash and decided to play with one for this challenge.  It is the Altenew Bellowing Peonies from just last year, so barely a year old.  For some reason I really like peony images and this is a perfect example why!

It is almost a one layer card, and feels very sophisticated to me.

  • The Bellowing Peonies image is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • The matching stencils add just the right layering to the image with Memento Angel Pink, Lilac Posies, Dandelion, Cantaloupe, Bamboo Leaves, and Pear Tart.
  • Some layers are very light handed, then the subsequent layer is more heavy handed to give the subtle colored look.
  • Altenew Rustic Burlap Press Plate is used to dry emboss texture into the image.
  • The edges are distressed to give it a hand-made paper feel.
  • The sentiment is stamped in Memento Lilac Posies and die cut.  The sub-sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black and also die cut.  Both are mounted with two additional die cuts glued behind to create more dimension.

This card has already been mailed to it's recipient.  It was meant to bring some encouragement!

Play along with our Anything Goes, challenge at Retro Rubber--you know you want to!

Tic Tac Toe, and create a fun card for Retro Rubber!

For your crafting pleasure we have a Tic Tac Toe board at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  Sometimes Tic Tac Toe's give me fits, because I can't narrow down my choices.  For this one zeroed in on the flowers and I was ready to go!  My cards use Die Cut, Flowers, and dry emboss row, and could also use Stencil, Metallic as my choice, and Flowers.  I threw in the dots and the sentiment is somewhat bold.  But didn't get a blackout because enamel dots didn't just fit and pink is not my favorite color.

I have had a set from Altenew, Create Your Life Project Hello Beautiful.  It was released in 2021, but I had not played with it yet!  I went with two cards, because I couldn't decide which image I liked better,  and knew I was going to cut the embossed image into two sections.

  •  The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black then stenciled with the matching layered stencils.  I don't know about you but I LOVE this method to add color to images!  Memento inks in Angel Pink, Rose Bud, Peanut Brittle, Dandelion, Pear Tart, and Pistachio are the color palate.
  • The images are die cut and backed with two more layers for dimension.
  • The matching embossing folder is 6 x 6.  I used half of the image for one card and the other half for the second card. Denami Designs silver metallic paper is perfect for this technique.  I wanted a bit more dimension so Darice Multi Dots was used to give some dots.   The floral embossing was refreshed by embossing a third time.
  • The edges of the A2 size card are inked in the matching Memento Rose Bud ink.
  • The layers are adhered together.
  • The sentiments are Pink Fresh Hot Foil plate Perfect Sentiments.  A black foil was used.  Just like the floral images, the sentiments are die cut and backed with two more layers.

So much fun, two cards in the time that it takes to make one!  Please join us and make your own version from this Tic Tac Toe challenge.

Fall Color Challenge at Retro Rubber

For our challenge at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog the colors are slightly non-traditional for fall.  It was really fun to come up with a design that is fallish as Dahlias are still blooming this time of year.

It is so fun to enjoy my Dahlias this time of year.  I once had a neighbor who was a Dahlia aficionado, and grew about 30 kinds of dinner plate Dahlias.   He would share his beautiful blooms.  This card uses Pinkfresh Dahlia Bunch from October 2021.  So Pinkfresh also likes Dahlias in the fall too.  I didn't want to use the entire image on one card so it is carefully trimmed to place on two cards.  Since coloring is so easy with matching stencils I actually made a set of four cards!

First card using the lower part of the image.

Second card using the upper part of the image.

  • The Pinkfresh Dahlia image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.
  • The coordinating stencils are used to add Memento Dandelion Yellow, Cantaloupe, Morocco, Summer Sky, and Teal Zeal.
  • The stamped image is die cut with the matching die, then trimmed into two pieces.  A second die cut is glued to the back to give a bit of dimension.
  • Cuttlebug Basket Weave embossing folder is inked up in Memento Morocco and the background is pressure embossed.  The Basket Weave is highlighted by direct to paper inking in Memento Dandelion Yellow.
  • The A-2 card base is inked in Memento Teal Zeal to match the leaves.
  • All the layers are adhered together.
This is another card that I want to wait until I send it to add the sentiment.  I have two friends battling breast cancer, and I try to send them sweet snail mail about once a month.  I may also use a few as thank you cards.

Tic Tac Toe Thank you card for Retro Rubber

A very fun Tic Tac Toe at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog for the next two weeks.  Honestly, sometimes I struggle with Tic Tac Toe challenges because there are too many choices.

I purchased an Altenew set "Beautiful Life" from 2021, and had to play with all the elements!  I do like that it has matching Stamps, Die and Stencils, as well as an Embossing Folder.

The vertical line of stencil, heat/dry emboss, and metallics was the inspiration for this card.
  • The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Stencils are used to ink the flower in Memento Dandelion and Cantaloupe, the leaves in Memento Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves.
  • The image is die cut.
  • Another Altenew set added the gold leaves.  "Leafy Splendor" from 2024.  The leaves are die cut from gold metallic paper then pressure embossed with the matching embossing folder.
  • Beautiful Life embossing folder is used to pressure emboss Color Core cardstock.  The surface is sanded to allow the shadow image to pop in orange.
  • The same cardstock is used to create the matching sentiment die cut, using the reverse side.  Altenew Elegant Sayings is stamped in Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black and heat embossed with black detailed embossing powder then die cut.  Additional die cuts adhered to the back create a raised sentiment with a hint of white outline.
  • The card is assembled and an A-2 card base.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy time at Retro Rubber

Ah, the taste of fresh homemade lemonade . . . tangy sweet summer time drink!  Our challenge for the next two weeks at Retro Rubber Blog challenge is a color challenge, with the sample incorporating lemons.

I choose to stay with the lemon theme with Hero Arts "Zest Wishes" from 2020.  I don't own the die set for this stamp collection, but it was easy peasy enough to fussy cut the images!

  • The images were stamped in Nocturne Versa Fine Clair and heat embossed with black embossing powder on white cardstock.
  • The images were water colored with Memento Dandelion and Cantaloupe.
  • The sentiment is stamped in Versa Color Cyan and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
  • Spellbinders Standard Circles large was used to die cut the circles, one from yellow vellum.  (I like how the yellow vellum over blue gives a greenish hue!)
  • The background is blue cardstock has texture from the Taylored Expressions Pierced Circles Cutting Plate.
  • Two of the images were fussy cut and the entire card is adhered together.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  We hope you play along with our challenge at Retro Rubber Blog Challenge.

Color challenge time at Retro Rubber

This color challenge is right up my alley, I love all shades of purple!  Retro Rubber's challenge is:

This stamp has been in my collection for awhile, but sadly had never seen ink.  What was I waiting for?

The focal image is Penny Black's Lovely Lilac release in 2020.  It is perfect for coloring directly on the image technique.

  • Using Memento Dual Tip markers (water based) the parts are colored and stamped using a stamp positioner.  First Bamboo leaves for the stems.  The flowers are stamped from lightest to darkest color: Lulu Lavender, Sweet Plum, and Grape Jelly.  The stamp positioner allows for multiple layers of coloring.  The secret is to gently mist water over the coloring on the stamp itself to reactivate the ink.
  • The sentiment is from Inkadinkado Thanks released in 2011 and is stamped in Memento Bamboo Leaves.
  • Memento Bamboo Leaves is used to edge the card front after it is trimmed.
  • The edges of the card base are inked with Grape Jelly and an ink dauber.

This was an enjoyable card to create and the results are elegantly satisfying!  Please do come and play along with us at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.

Tic Tac Toe! Friendship card

Spring is inching happily towards us!  At Retro Rubber Challenge Blog we have a fun Tic Tac Toe and it happens to be my contributed challenge.  Often I have a hard time with Tic Tac Toe challenges, as I overthink the process.  But once I got going on this one I was able to check all the squares off, and complete a black out, well I guess that's a bingo term!

This is the challenge image to create your card or project.

My card was created using the following:
  •  The die cut is Stitched Ovals from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  It is die cut from white cardstock and stamped with Hero Arts 2009 Friends are Flowers in Memento Luxe Pear Tart and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Fireworks! Bamboo leaves is gently tapped over the image to add some depth and painted into the leaves. Small die cuts from Sizzix Tim Hotlz Tattered Flowers are die cut from scraps of cardstock to put over the stamped flower.
  • The pink shimmer card stock is first die cut with the Stitched Ovals from Elizabeth Craft Designs then pressure embossed with Darice Petal Background embossing folder.  With a white core paper, the flowers are distressed with a sanding block as well as the edges.  K & Company adhesive gems are added to a few of the flower's centers.
  • The card base has Fireworks! Bamboo leaves gently tapped around the edges to pair with the focal image.
  • The layers are adhered together to the card base, taking care the the oval is placed the same direction as it was die cut.  Even with symmetrical dies they are not perfect!
  • Sheer purple ribbon is tied into a small bow and adhered to the card.

How fun is that?  Sometimes a Tic Tac Toe board can inspire the next little detail on your card!

Spring is on the Way!

Our theme for the next two weeks at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog is Spring is on the Way!Early blooming flowers are a sign that spring is right around the corner.  The sunny faces of Daffodils smiling will brighten anyone's day!  I created two of these cards, one for each of the Mothers in our family.

The stamp/die/mold Spring Daffodil set from Heartfelt Creations was released in 3/2021.  These flowers do take a bit of time create, but the end product is so worth the effort!  Heartfelt Creations has been a leader in exquisite flowers for over two decades.  Sadly the creator and owner is retiring.  If there is a flower you really love, now is the time to see if they are still available.  (I'm not in any way affiliated with HC, but have loved their products for many years!)

There are videos available on YouTube (Heartfelt Creations Spring Daffodil) to help you make these flowers, so I am going to list the supplies I used rather than describe the creation.  There is an accordion fold between the front die cut and card base, with the fence die cut mounted in the middle.  This allows the dimension of the flowers to shine.

Supplies:

  • Heartfelt Creations Spring Daffodil stamps, dies, shaping mold
  • HC Fragrant Hyacinth Stamp and die for the leaves
  • HC Spring Garden Paper collection (on card front base and tag)
  • HC Deluxe flower shaping kit
  • HC golf tool
  • HC Pastel Pollen Stamens
  • HC Teardrop Lattice Gateway die
  • HC Lattice Flourish Gateway die
  • HC Thank you sentiment stamps 9/2018
  • Memento Luxe' Dandelion
  • Memento Cantaloupe, Cottage Ivy, Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves
  • Versa Magic Pumpkin Spice
  • Hot glue gun
  • Craft wire
  • Floral green tape
  • Paper Studio Tag Punch
  • Creative Memories Corner punch, Trimmer
  • Ofray Ribbon
  • Green, Purple, and white cardstock

Enjoy creating for Spring or in my case preparing ahead for Mother's Day!

Fun Oval Floral Card for Retro Rubber

Time for another challenge over at Retro Rubber.  This is a Tic Tac Toe board.  Give a row a try and join us at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  This is what I came up with for the Diagonal row of "Shaped Card, Embossing, Floral".

This is one of my favorite retro stamps made by Personal Stamp Exchange, or PSX.  There was an entire series of iconic floral images.  This Pansy was released in 1993 mounted on wood.  So pretty.

  • The image was stamped in Memento Luxe' Espresso Truffle, as I wanted a color softer than black.  Then heat embossed in clear embossing powder.
  • An easy way to blend inks is to color on a plastic surface with Memento Dual Tip Markers.  Colors used for the flowers are:  Cantaloupe, Danube Blue, Lulu Lavender, Grape Jelly, Cottage Ivy, and Pear Tart.  The colors can be mixed before adding a bit of water with a paint brush, then gently applied to the image.  The heat embossing keeps the coloring inside the lines.
  • The image is die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Ovals.
  • The next larger size is die cut from card stock to serve as the card front.
  • A 12" x 12" x 5" piece of cardstock was folded in half and die cut with the same size die as the card front with the fold inside a small section of the die to kept the card in one piece.
  • Hero Arts "It's Your Day" released in 2015 sentiment Birthday Wishes is stamped in Memento Luxe' Espresso Truffle and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
  • The sentiment is die cut with Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners and the edges are inked in Memento Luxe' Espresso Truffle.
  • The layers are adhered together with the sentiment raised with dimensional foam adhesive.

This is the Tic Tac Toe board used for the challenge.  Have fun!

In case you are wondering how the card stands up?  The Sizzix Small Easel is die cut and adhered to the back of the card.  It shows when the card is flat, but makes for a very unique Oval shaped card that can be displayed in a vertical position.

Please do join us over at Retro Rubber and play along!

Versa Clair Fine creates a beautifully Stamped Sunflower

Versa Clair Fine is now my favorite pigment ink!  So versatile and allowed me to create a beautifully colored card in just a few steps.  This is one of the few cards that my husband has asked me to specifically make for a friend, it was easy to do with just a few inks, stamps, and dies!

Skill:  Intermediate

Time:  2 hours

 Directions:

Step 1:

Stamp sunflower images on yellow cardstock with Versa Fine Clair Cheerful and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  Stamp leaf images on light green paper in Versa Fine Clair Green Oasis and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  Die cut with matching dies.

Step 2:

Place flowers and leaves face down in matching shaping mold and mist lightly with water.  As the images are heat embossed, they will stay sharp and crisp.  Close mold and pressure emboss.

Step 3:
Remove flowers and leaves from mold and set aside to dry.  Once dry assemble flowers with On Point Glue, adding black glitter to centers.  (Not shown)  Set aside to dry.

Step 4:

Ink the edges of an A7 size card with and ink dauber and Versa Fine Clair Green Oasis.  Set aside to dry, as the ink is very juicy.

Step 5:

Sunflowers are a rustic flower, so corrugated cardstock seemed to be a good choice for a background.  Versa Fine Clair in Cheerful and Summertime are inked randomly on the corrugated cardstock with ink daubers.

Step 6:

Ink the sentiment with Versa Fine Clair in Green Oasis and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  Die cut with die from the Eyelet Frame Gateway set.  I trimmed off a portion of the sentiment, then edged the sentiment with Versa Fine Clair in Summertime.

Step 7:

Die cut a Border from the Regal Boarder set using light orange paper.  Gently shade the edges with Versa Fine Clair Summertime and an ink dauber.

Step 8:
Adhere corrugated cardstock to base card with Tear It Tape!  Adhere border with On Point Glue  Adhere flowers with Tear It Tape!
