Quick Quotes Mini album from Club Q kits

Hello Quick Quote friends!  Neva here to share a mini album created from September's Club Q kits.  I used all the parts of the Ultimate Combo Club Q to fashion the twelve pages of this 6" x 6" album.  Recently I scrapped a few photos from this event, my parent's Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration.  My mother's wish for the weekend was to take many family photos and individual photos that showed each family member's personality.  With a little perseverance we granted her wish . . . the first round of photos were not of good quality as settings on her camera had been adjusted from auto to manual.  But we believe round two of photos turned out even better!

Three sheets from the page kits were used to create the pages, one sheet of Main Street 101 and two sheets of Main Street 102.  The remaining sheets from the page kits and Altered kit were used to mat the photos.  Accents from Main Street 103 were cut from the scraps from the Altered Frame kit.  Design Team members were sent Main Street Quotes and Phrases 600 which is used throughout the album including the opening title.

To guide you through the process I used to plan and create this mini album I will share a few insider tips.
  • I start with a paper planning grid to determine the sequence and placement of photos.  You will notice I added an extra page as I had most of the planning done and wanted to change the order of the photos.
  • Photos are printed in three sizes:  4" x 6" and trimmed down to varying sizes, 3" x 4", and 2" x 3".
  • Each of the three sheets are trimmed to four 6" x 6" base pages, for a total of twelve.
  • Each 6"x 6" page is laid next to it's companion and the photo mats and embellishments are selected.
  • I made an effort to vary the embellishments from the two page kits, the Chipboard Die Cuts, and the Quotes and Phrases, throughout the album.  The similarity between the two page kits made this easy, but added a nice variety to each layout.
  • Some companion page backgrounds match, others are complementary.  Complementary layouts feature the background on one side and photo mats on the opposite that match.
  • All the elements for each page set are put in envelopes to finalize the design, as a few embellishments were moved around in the mini album before final assembly.
  • The journaling strips were created in a Word document and printed in brown then are inked in Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink.  Not all are included for publication to protect privacy.
  • Ribbons were tied into bows and added to the pages that needed that last little embellishment.

Front Cover:
  • Photo is trimmed to 3 1/4" x 5", and backed with 102 white dots that is 1/4" larger all around for a frame of 3 3/4" x 5 1/2".  All of the larger photos have this mat sizing.
  • The mat is inked with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Bermuda.
  • The 101 grunge side page is inked in Powder Puff Chalking Ink Mocha Mama as is the "Bless this family" sentiment.  What a great sentiment from the Main Street Quotes and Pharses 600!
  • The photo and sentiment are adhered at slight angles to allow both to fit the page with a bit of overlap.
Pages 2 and 3
  • These pages feature my parents and my siblings and uses teal 101 for the left and grunge quarter 102 for the right.  The mats are the 102 for the left and 101 for the right to tie the pages together.
  • The accents are used directly from the page kit, along with a bow made from the ribbon from the Small Altered kit.

  • A hidden a flap lifts to reveal a fun photo and story.  We had a great time recreating a photo that we gave my parents in 1981 when frizzy perms were a thing for men.  My niece crouched behind my brother so her curly hair would give him the illusion of his hair back then.  We obviously could not keep a straight face!
  • Barn Board Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements of these pages.
  • With care, one ink color can be used on one side of the page and a different color on the opposite side.

 Pages 4 and 5
  • Both sides use dotted 102 for the page and 102 teal side for the mats.
  • The accents are used directly from a page kit, as is the gingham bow.
  • The large circle is trimmed asymmetrically to add interest and tie the two pages together.  I also like to think of the symbolism of our wedding rings!
  • Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements of these pages.

Pages 6 and 7
  • This layout shares a bit of my parent's personality!  It features 102 quarter grunge side.
  • The smaller photos are 2" x 3" and the mats are 2 3/8" x 3 3/8".
  • The smaller mats are more proportional to the smaller photos by framing the photo with 3/16" on each edge.
  • The red mats are trimmed from the scraps of the Altered Frame kit as Main Street 103 is featured as an accent in September's Club Q.   The teal mats are 101.
  • Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements of these pages.

Pages 8 and 9
  • There are some really great sentiments in the Main Street Chipboard die cuts that are perfect for layouts about families.  This one is fantastic to represent the younger generation of our family!
  • Both Mocha Mama and Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink are used to ink the elements.
  • Pages are 102 dotted and 101 grunge for the mats.

Pages 10 and 11
  • My family is featured in these pages, so the journal strips are included.
  • The background is 102 grunge quarter and the mats are 101 teal.
  • Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements.

Pages 12 and 13
  • Personality photos for my family on 102 dotted pages.
  • The frames area 101 grunge and a scrap of 103 red for the large photo.
  • The banners are trimmed from Main Street Quotes and Phrases and have holes pierced through the corners.
  • Twine is threaded through the banners before the are adhered.
  • Both Mocha Mama and Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink are used to ink the elements.

Pages 14 and 15
  • These pages feature my brother's family.
  • Opposing backgrounds and mats are used in this layout.  The quarter grunge of 102 and the teal side of 101.
  •  Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements.
  •  I really like how the patterns of the papers show up in the Chipboard Die Cuts!  All three embellishments have the dotted side of 102.

Pages 16 and 17
  • More photos of my brother's family.
  • Grunge 101 is used for the background.  The mats are a mix of 102 quarter grunge and 103 red.
  • I almost forgot to use the great little chipboard banners from the page kits, they finally show up here!  They are inked in Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink.
  • Black and red twine are threaded through the buttons before they are adhered.  I enjoy adding these little touches to bump up the effect of buttons!
  • The mats and Chipboard Die Cut are inked in Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink,

Pages 18 and 19
  • These pages feature my sister's family.
  • These pages are complementary with 101 teal and 102 quarter grunge.

  • Another hidden flap hides the photo of my sister's family and their plus one, my niece's (now) fiance.  :)
  • Chipboard Die Cuts are the embellishments.
  •  Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements.

Pages 20 and 21
  • More photos of my sister's family.
  • True story about the sentiments selected.  My niece moved to a remote town in Alaska with a population of less than 1,500 people to take her first teaching job . . . and she met her now fiance!  The school district is pleased as they will have a music teacher who stays longer than a year.
  • The pages are dotted 102, with mats of teal 101 and red 103.
  • Both Mocha Mama and Bermuda Powder Puff Chalking Ink are used to ink the elements.

Pages 22 and 23
  • We have a tradition of taking group photos of birth order.  We did it at my Grandparent's 50th Anniversary 30 years ago, and it was fun to take these in August!
  • Quarter grunge 102 and teal 101 are the background, with complementary mats.
  • I used up the last few bits of the pages kits for embellishments, love it when you get to the end of a project and have very little left!
  • Another great sentiment from Main Street 600 Quotes and Phrases.
  • Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements.

Back Cover
  • Grunge 101 with the title from a page kit.
  • Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalking Ink is used to ink the elements.
Final assembly
  • I used a Bind-It All tool to punch the holes and bind the mini album together.  A similar tool can be used to bind the album.
  • Alternately, the holes can be punch through each page and binder rings can be used to finish the album.
  •  Because the pages are smaller and are not placed in page protectors, I choose to adhere the Chipboard Die Cuts with additional glue dots to insure they would stay put!
Making mini albums is a passion of mine, and I am thankful that the elements of the Ultimate Club Q Kit worked so well together to create a cohesive but fun mini album.  Thinking outside the of the kit can be really fun and a satisfying crafting experience.

Here is my version of the Large Altered Kit, I always really enjoy making a Quick Quote Canvas!  They always turn out so beautifully!  I used a different Main Street Chipboard Die Cut, and punched holes to insert the brads.  Shhhhh, this will be a gift for my parents!

Mini Book Fun for Imagine

I was very excited when I heard our theme at Imagine for the month of September was to highlight books because I am a mini-book fanatic!  I have truly enjoyed creating small books over the last 20 years.  So I set out to craft a cute little book from fun foam, chipboard and cardstock that has a ribbon binding.  To make the book more portable, I made an elastic closure to hold it together.  It is easy to decorate the fun foam with StazOn ink, and the elastic closure uses some Fabrico makers to add color inside the ridges.

A few details:

Skill Level:  Intermediate
Time:  2 hours plus dry time

Step 1
Trim tan fun foam to 5” x 7”.  (This size was chosen as I hoped to add some texture with an embossing folder, but didn’t like the lack of results so that ended up on the inside.)  The fun foam is stamped with a variety of marbling stamps using StazOn in Saddle Brown, Timber Brown, and Cactus Green.

Step 2
The create a color coordinated elastic closure, a 12” piece of soft ¼” elastic is inked with StazOn in Saddle Brown and colored with Fabrico markers in Chocolate and Pea Pod.  The colors are muted with a spritzing of Ink Potion No. 9.  It was a little lighter than I liked, so another layer of StazOn ink in Timber Brown was added.  The elastic is set aside to dry.

Step 3
The stack of pages, called a signature of the book, is 5 sheets of cream cardstock trimmed to 4 ¾” x 6 ½”.  Each sheet is scored down the middle and creased.  The signature is lined up and the inside set is marked with a pencil at the center and 1 3/8” away from center. The holes are punched with a paper piercer, or you can use a heavy duty thumb tack.  The same marks and punch holes are made in the fun foam cover.  The signature and cover are slightly different sizes so it is more simple to use a centering ruler for this measuring task.

Step 4
A 15” length of 1/8” ribbon is threaded through the signature and cover using a tapestry needle.  Starting from the outside, the ribbon is threaded through the center hole in the cover and signature.  You will have to line up the needle with holes in the signature before pulling it all the way through.  A length of ribbon, or tail, is left on the outside.

Step 5
From the inside the ribbon is threaded through an outside edge hole of both layers.  Next the ribbon is threaded from one outside hole to the other outside hole back to the inside of the book.  From the inside the ribbon is threaded back through the center hole.  Take care to not pierce the ribbon and only go through the hole.

Step 6
The ribbon tails should be on either side of the center ribbon.  You may gently adjust the length of the tails at this point.  Tie the tails around the center ribbon and make a bow.

Step 7
Round the signature in a stack with a heavy duty corner rounder like Zutter.  Rounding the corners after binding allows them to line up more neatly.  Trim two pieces of chipboard to 3 ¼” x 4 ¾” and round outside corners.  Line up the chipboard between the cover and the signature.

Step 8
Mark holes for elastic 1” from the top and bottom edges of the cover and ¾” from the outside edge.  Punch holes through both the chipboard and foam cover.

Step 9
Add a quick dry adhesive designed for paper to the chipboard cover and adhere to the foam cover.  Place wax paper between chipboard and the signature in case a bit of adhesive leaks out from around the edges.  Repeat for the front of the mini book.  Place under a stack of books and let dry.  Mine took about an hour.

Step 10
Thread elastic through the holes in the back cover.  Leave the elastic slack enough to go around the front cover.  Pin the elastic together and then stitch at the mid-point to secure.  This is flatter than knotting the elastic. Trim the excess elastic.  Add adhesive to the chipboard and adhere to the last page of the signature so the elastic is hidden.  Adhere the front page of the signature to the front chipboard cover.  Add the wax paper to protect the rest of the signature as before and dry under a stack of books.

This little book is the perfect size to hold wallet size photos, meandering thoughts and notes, or sketches.

In the spotlight at ABAC! Meander Mini Album Challenge

I am in the spotlight over at Anything But a Card this week for our Design Team.  It has been a pleasure to be involved with ABAC, and blast seeing what everyone creates to enter into the challenges for each month.  The full blog post is also here as a separate page, A little bit about me.

My challenge for this week is to make a mini-album or mini book of any style.   My sample made for the challenge commemorates the year 2014 in photos and is done with a Meander Album.

Actual size is 3" x 3".

It didn’t take long to scan through the year of photos and plop my favorites into Photoshop.  Then I pared them down and selected the photos that I wanted at 2.5” x 2.5” for the main pages of the mini album, and those that I wanted as 2” x 2” to go on the tags.  In my format I selected 26 photos. I selected twelve photos for the main pages, and 14 photos for the tags, with one for each side.  These were put together on two Photoshop files and printed on 8” x 12” prints at Costco.
Front cover and tag.

Pages 2 & 3
Par for the course one of my hurdles is deciding what paper to use for a project; in this case I went with a collection from SEI, Penelope’s Potpourri.  The reverse of Tiny Tulips was a nice muted green, and Delightful Dots was a great complement to the color scheme.

Pages 4 & 5

Pages 6 & 7
The Meander Album at Split Coast Stampers in this tutorial gives excellent directions to create an album from a single sheet of 12” x 12” paper.  The accents were cut from the scraps.  The tags were all cut from a second sheet of 12” x 12” paper.  I used my Coluzzle Tags template to cut the tags to 2 ½” x 3” including the notched section.  This fits perfectly into the pockets with just the notch protruding.  I did not cut notches in the pockets, or add covers.  I have the original Bind-It-All, so I could only punch about half of the pages at one time.  Careful finagling of sections of the album cut through all the pages.  I adhered the edges of the pockets, and then applied the binding.
Pages 8 & 9
Pages 10 & 11

All the edges are inked with Tsukineko Memento Luxe Nautical Blue.  The front and back die cuts are Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Two.  The front images are Studio G sentiments, and Rubber Cupboard numbers stamped in Tsukineko Memento Luxe Nautical Blue and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The back image is Technique Tuesday also stamped in Tsukineko Memento Luxe Nautical Blue.

Pages 12 & 13

I love this little album and plan to carry it in my purse to remind me of all the wonderful events that happened for our family in 2014.  My Dear Husband likes all of the photos, but wants them in digital format to share with his friends.   Memory keeping at it’s best!  Have fun creating your mini book and album and make sure to jump over to Anything But a Card and post your submission for the challenge.

Buccaneer North American Championships Acrylic Album

This summer our family spent a wonderful week in Summit County Colorado at America’s highest elevation Yacht Club at Lake Dillon (elevation 9, 017 ft).  If you know Summit County, you will recognize that it is the home to many ski resorts just through the tunnel from Denver.  Mountains and incredible scenery surrounded the lake as well as view of two ski resorts.  The water was cold, 55 degrees Fahrenheit, and the weather was variable to say the least!  I am very proud of my 15-year-old son as he joined his dad crewing on the Mandy Lu at the BNAC 2014 Regatta.  It was his 3rd-7th day sailing.  My DH is an accomplished sailor and skipper and my son had a wonderful teacher and a great experience.  My younger son and I enjoyed kayaking and bike riding while Dad and brother were on the water.  This is the huge project I have been working on over the last month.  Even if you do not read through the entire post, if you like making acrylic albums you might find a few good tips.  If you just want to see photos of each page, click on the first photo and you can look through the album.  Supply list is at the end of the post.  Enjoy!
Beginning Hints:
1.     When working with acrylic albums it is important to prepare embellishments for both sides before the final assembly of each side of the sheet.  Mirror or center to frame the opposite side of the sheet before adhering.
2.     Album is assembled and adhered using Tombow Extreme Permanent Adhesive unless specified other wise.
3.     Any step involving StazOn ink or irResistibles Color Texture Spray will require drying time to avoid smearing the ink.
4.     All the photos are edged in StazOn inks, which works great on a photo!
Cover aka Page One

1.     I tried stamping the rope image with out StazOn Cotton White dabbed around edges first and was not satisfied with the results.  So plan 2 included the StazOn opaque ink to help the rope image show up better.
2.     I had a little fun with Vertigo by pressure embossing with Cuttlebug Animal Print Spots.  The StazOn Blue Hawaii to inked raised areas to bring on the dimension.
3.     Radiant Neon Electric Pink sponged around the mat matched the spinnacker.

4.     The album cover was a handy pattern to trace the shape of the point onto the Vertigo piece with a sharpie pen and cut with scissors ¼” inside the line.
5.     By now the StazOn Cotton White was dry so next step is to stamp Technique Tuesday Borderline Space & Time rope image in Cactus Green around the edges.  An old trick to miter the corner or point is to use scrap paper to miter as shown.
Page Two

1.     Spritz white card stock with irResistible Dandelion.
2.     Crop photo to 3" x 2" and white card stock to 3" x 1".  Ink edges of both with StazOn Cactus Green.
3.     Stamp Technique Tuesday Game On "Road Trip" in StazOn Cactus Green directly on the photo, which will not work with other non-permanent inks.
4.     Journal in Memento Bamboo Leaves.
5.     Now it is time to assemble cover and page two and adhere.
Page Three

1.     Stamp My Minds Eye Laundry Lint Coastal Authentic star image in StazOn Blue Hawaii over the star on the album page.  Take care as the acrylic album is slippery and it is easy to smear the ink while stamping.
2.     Trim white card stock and use a soft rubber brayer or a small hardware store foam paint roller to ink with Radiant Neon Electric Blue to a light shade.  This seems to give a more even color.  Crumple a small section of aluminum foil and apply Radiant Neon Electric Pink around the edges.  Adhere photo and journal in Bahama Blue.
3.     Die cut medium Sizzix Star #2 from Darice green Foamies and ink with StazOn Cactus Green.  (Sizes of stars range in size from large, medium, small, and petite)  Ink with StazOn Cactus Green.
4.     I like to cut extras that might work later in the album, so I die cut the following stars from Vertigo: 1 medium, 2 smalls, and 2 petites.  The remaining stars will be used on page 12 of the album
Page Four

1.     Trim Kraft card stock and spritz with irResistibles Wedding White followed by Dandelion.  Overlaying the colors allows the Dandelion color to have more pop on the Kraft card stock.  I tried both ways, and Dandelion on Kraft just doesn’t work well!

2.     I die cut 8 Sizzlets Tag Set-tags from Kraft card stock.  The remaining tags will be used for journaling throughout the album.  Ink the edges of each tag with Radiant Neon Electric Blue and lightly distress tag by inking with crumpled aluminum foil.  Cut Darice #10 Hemp Cord to 4" lengths and loop through hole in tag.  Journaling is done in Bahama Blue.
3.     Assemble pages three and four.  Adhere Foamies green star over stamped star image using Xyron X permanent adhesive on page three.  Complete adhesive coverage of element conceals the adhesive through the acrylic sheet, something I learned by working with vellum.  Adhere Vertigo small star on page four.
Page Five

1.     Time to play with The Crafters Workshop Punchinella stars section stencil, place it over acrylic page and ink with ink blushers.  Start with StazOn Cactus Green and fade to Blue Hawaii and back to Cactus Green.

2.     Trim white card stock to 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".  Sponge roller Radiant Neon Electric Blue onto both sides of the card stock.  Pressure emboss with Cuttlebug Wood Grain embossing folder.  On one side use direct to paper inking with StazOn Blue Hawaii to highlight raised areas.  On the reverse ink with StazOn Cactus Green.  This will serve as a frame on both sides of the acrylic sheet.
3.     Crop photo to 4" x 4" and ink with StazOn Blue Hawaii.
4.     Cut Darice blue Foamies to 3 7/8" x 3 7/8".  Trim to a three- sided frame leaving 1/2" frame.  Adhere to the back of the photo to create a pocket as shown.  I chose to use Foamies over dimensional foam squares because it is colored and will match the album better.

5.     Cut Vertigo with scissors to make a 4 1/2" x 2 7/8" tag.  Use a tag as a pattern to shape leading corners.  Punch the center hole with a Cropadile tool.  Ink edges with StazOn Cactus green.  Loop Darice #20 Hemp cord through the hole.
6.     Trim two pieces of white card to fit the tag, 3 1/4" x 2 1/8”.  Sponge roller Radiant Neon Electric Blue and stamp Technique Tuesday Code Grid in StazOn Cactus Green.  Journal in Memento Bahama Blue.  Adhere to Vertigo tag.  The tag still needed something so stamp Technique Tuesday Borderlines Space & Time stars images along the leading edge.
Page Six

1.     Crop photo to 4" x4" and ink edges with StazOn Blue Hawaii.
2.     Assembly:  adhere Wood Grain embossed piece to page six taking care that the adhesive is applied inside of a 4" x 4" square, at least 3/8" from the edge.  When page five photo is centered over the frame the adhesive is hidden.   Adhere photo with hidden Foamies frame to page five to create a pocket for the Vertigo tag.
Page Seven

1.     Stamp SEI En Route compass twice in StazOn Cactus Green on white card stock.  Sponge roller Radiant Neon Electric Blue over stamped images and die cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles Large die that is slightly larger than image; hold die in place with removable tape.  Die cut two Darice blue Foamies with the same size die.

2.     Use an ink blusher and Clear Scraps 6" x 6" Spiral stencil to ink acrylic sheet with StazOn Blue Hawaii.  Position spiral on arrow section by placing die cut compass in desired position.
3.     Use an ink blusher to tap StazOn Cotton White onto Studio Calico sailboat.

4.     Trim white card stock to 6" x 4 1/2" and sponge roller Radiant Neon Electric Pink.  Apply Radiant Neon Electric Blue directly to the flat side with indentations of the Cuttlebug Basket Weave embossing folder and pressure emboss.  (Polka Dot is shown.)  Direct to paper ink the raised area of Basket Weave with StazOn Cactus Green.

5.     Cut three pieces Vertigo to 2 1/2" x 4 1/4".  Miter corners with scissors and punch center holes with Cropadile tool.  Ink edges with StazOn Cactus Green.
6.     Cut green Foamie to 5 7/8" x 4 3/8" and make a three-sided frame to back Basket Weave card stock.  Cut 6" x 1/2" piece of Vertigo to reinforce the open edge of the frame.  Adhere both to the back of the Basket Weave.
7.     Crop photo to 5 1/2" x 4" and ink edges with StazOn Blue Hawaii.
8.     Crop 6 photos for tags to 2" x 3" and ink edges with StazOn Blue Hawaii.  Trim Kraft card stock into 2" x 1/2" journal strips and ink with StazOn Blue Hawaii and journal with Memento Bahama Blue.  Adhere photos and journal strips to Vertigo tags.  Loop Darice #10 Hemp Cord through holes.
Page Eight

1.     Trim white card stock to 6" x 4 1/2" and sponge roller with Radiant Neon Electric Pink.  Apply Radiant Neon Electric Blue directly to the flat side with indentations of the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder and pressure emboss.  Direct to paper ink the raised dots with StazOn Cactus Green.
2.     Crop photo to 5 1/2" x 4" and ink with StazOn Blue Hawaii.
3.     Assemble pages seven and eight and adhere.
Page Nine

1.     Ink acrylic sheet with Clear Scraps 12 x 12 Spiral Dots stencil, ink blushers and a mixture of StazOn Cactus Green and Blue Hawaii.

2.     Crop three photos to 3" x 2" and ink edges with StazOn Blue Hawaii.
3.     Cut four pieces of Vertigo to 3 1/4" x 2 1/4" and ink edges with StazOn Cactus Green.
4.     Die cut one white cardstock and one Vertigo arrow from Project Life Die Cut set and ink edges and with ink blusher and Radiant Neon Electric Blue.  Vertigo arrow will be used on page 12.
5.     Trim white card stock to 2" x 8" and sponge roller Radiant Neon Electric Blue on both sides.  Score at 2", 4", and 6" and accordion fold to train folds.  Stamp Technique Tuesday Code Grid in StazOn Cactus Green on five sections; the first is the top block on one side the remaining four on the reverse.  Journal in Memento Bahama Blue.  Fold journal section and adhere to form 2 pages that flip up to reveal the hidden journaling.  I had a lot to say on this page!
6.     Ink edges of both sides of an Imagine Craft Large Oval tag with StazOn Blue Hawaii.  Complete in several stages to avoid smearing the ink.  Stamp Technique Tuesday Game On “EXTREME” image on both sides.
Page Ten

1.     Trim white card stock to 7" x 5" and sponge roller with Radiant Neon Electric Orange.  Apply Radiant Neon Electric Blue directly to the flat side with indentations of the Cuttlebug Basket Weave embossing folder and pressure emboss.
2.     Crop photo to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2 and ink with StazOn Blue Hawaii. Trim white card stock to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and use an ink blusher to ink edges with Radiant Neon Electric Orange.
3.     Trim white card stock to 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" and sponge roller with Radiant Neon Electric Orange.  Stamp with Technique Tuesday Code grid and StazOn Cactus Green.  Journal with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
4.     Lay page ten’s mat on table and center page nine photos/journaling block with Vertigo mats and adhere.  Flip the acrylic sheet over and adhere the mat for page ten by hiding the adhesive behind the page nine photos.  Cut an 8" length of Darice #20 Hemp Cord and loop through the Imagine Crafts oval tag and secure with a sailing knot (this one tied by my DH) around acrylic sheet.  Adhere photo and journaling block.

Page Eleven and Twelve

1.     Custom lettering stencil:  run a strip of vellum through a temporary adhesive Xyron X and die cut selected letters/numbers/shapes.  (Quickutz Classic Frankie font was used for this title, Pirate’s Saber for the emblem.)   The Pirate’s Saber was cut twice, the second cut made on the reverse side to reverse the image as shown.  Place die cut letters/numbers/shapes in desired position on acrylic sheet.  Place outline and dams around letters/numbers/shapes in correct positions, trimming away excess with scissors.  Remove die cuts and ink with bullet tip Fantastix in StazOn Blue Hawaii.

2.     Replace die cuts after ink has dried and ink through The Crafters Workshop Punchinella stencil with ink blushers.  Start with StazOn Cactus green over the title and fade to Blue Hawaii and back to Cactus Green.
3.     Trim white card stock to 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" and spritz with irResistible Dandelion.
4.     Ink Vertigo stars and small arrow cut earlier with StazOn Cactus Green or Blue Hawaii.  When dry apply Xyron permanent adhesive to one side and Tombow Extreme Permanent adhesive to the other and adhere this side to positions on the back cover photo.  The Xyron permanent adhesive will help hold photo and mat in place and can be viewed through the back of the album.

5.     Spritz the reverse side of white card stock with irResistibles Dandelion and place final photo.  Adhere to the front of the page so the photo will show through to the back.  The irResistible Dandelion will act as an adhesive for both the photo and to the acrylic sheet.
6.     Adhere photo to front.
Final assembly
1.     Add journal tags throughout album.
