I have now been home a week from my dear friend’s Memorial
Service. There are still many
posts on her facebook page and the pages of her immediate family that tell the
story of what an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend that
she was. We all miss her, but know
that the suffering and pain are gone and that she is in the presence of our
Almighty Father. This card is for
her husband is and four of the five cards I created for her family.
A great way to jump start a card is to use a sketch and
color scheme from a challenge, and both were found at Unity Stamp Company. I recently purchased the February 2015
Sentiment set, Beautiful Life, Blessed Memories and was able to use most of the
set for cards for my friend’s family.
The base of the card is yellow card stock with Kraft card
stock layered over the top that was pressure embossed with Cuttlebug’s Bit of
Paisley. I had not remembered that
yellow was her favorite color, and was so pleased to be reminded and know that
the card for her beloved husband had yellow as featured color.
The light teal card stock was die cut with Spellbinder’s
Decorative Labels One, the the darker teal and light tan card stock layers were
die cut with Spellbinder’s Labels One.
The sentiment is from Beautiful Life, Blessed Memories is stamped in
Tsukineko Memento Luxe Teal Zeal.
The Kraft card stock pennant was die cut with Spellbinder’s Nested
Pennants and trimmed to fit the card.
The heart background image is Unity’s Love Is set stamped in Tsukineko
Memento Luxe Teal Zeal.
This card is inspired by and entered into the Unity StampCompany challenge.
It is also entered into the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin’ Challenge All or Nothing (one layer or lots
of layers)
A simply beautiful card with a lovely sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Sweet Stampin’ this week.
