I decided I wanted to create a background with my colors,
and did so by stamping on vellum in Memento Luxe Wedding White ink and heat
embossing with white embossing powder.
The image is by Stamp Out Cute which I purchased in 1998 at the Portland
Stamp Convention. It is colored from
behind with Memento Dual Markers in Cottage Ivy, Lady Bug, Paris Dusk, and
Cantaloupe. The edges of the card base
are colored with Paris Dusk. Yellow cardstock
is die cut with Sizzix Framelits Drop-Ins 660143. The Birthday Wishes didn’t pop enough so I
colored a section of cardstock with Lady Bus and placed it behind the
sentiment. The vellum is adhered to the
yellow cardstock frame and then to the card base.

I am delighted to enter my card in the following challenges.
I couldn't wait to see how you created this card, because I could tell that it was very unusual. The use of vellum was genius! Great card and wonderful use of the inspiration colors!
ReplyDeleteI was really interested to read about how you created this background. Like Debbie, I was curious to see how you'd done it - and I never guessed it right either! The way you've coloured the vellum in behind looks as though it's been watercoloured. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteNeva your cards are always so technically creative and make me want to try new things. Great use of the colours and I love how you created the background, awesome that you did it on Vellum, a medium I love working too. Cx
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see the lovely bright colours on this card .

ReplyDeleteAwesome card Neva, stamping and heat embossing Vellum is tricky but you did it masterfully. Perfect use of the challenge colors and awesome way to pop up that sentiment, very creative indeed.

Maria.
I would have never suspected vellum, Neva... the colors are so bright! Great way to add texture to the front with the detail added on the backside. And you picked a lovely day to showcase this pretty card! Well done, teammate!!
ReplyDeleteColored from behind!? Genius! This stamp has to be one of the all time coolest! What an amazing card!
