Sending Peace and Comfort

It was enjoyable to work with a soft palette of colors for this card that was inspired by Your Next Stamp Color Challenge #4.  The card sketches over at Cardabilities are always fun to work with as well.

Front

The pinks in the palette lead me to create pink poinsettias with Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur die and Christmas Poinsettia stamp set.  The real poinsettias seemed to be darker at the center and light at the edges, Chameleon PK3 colored the flower images in that fashion, and OL3 colored the leaves.  Once the flowers were assembled the centers were added with Liquid Pearls Silver Pearl.  Heartfelt Creations Cut Mat Create 1A and 1B were used to die cut the silver leaf sprigs from Canford silver paper.

The sentiment from Unity Heartfelt Sympathy collection is stamped in Tsukineko Versa Magic Aegean Blue and is die cut and pressure embossed with Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  The die was left in place and Colorbox Ice Blue was sponged onto the die cut.  Two circles were cut from a very old Provo Craft paper pack in a pink mesh print using Spellbinders Standard Circles Small.  Grey card stock was die cut using the same size die and one smaller for each circle.  Both were left in place and pressure embossed providing the raised center on each ring.

The design is backed with blue card stock, more the Provo Craft pink mesh printed-paper and silver Canford paper.  Just the edge of the Martha Steward Punch set Aspen design is visible.  The card base is a wonderful piece of card stock found in my stash that is a marbled grey and pink design.

Inside
Many different dies were sampled before settling on the front of the card design, so several were used to decorate the inside of the card.  Spellbinders Blossoms and Tags die cut the center blue design.  The scripture is from Heartfelt Creations Uplifting Scripture stamp set and is stamped in Aegean Blue.  The remaining flower and leaf embellishments complete the inside of the card.

This card is entered in the following challenges:
(Poinsettia image and sentiment have been in my stash less than 2 weeks!)
Polkadoodles Tic Tac Toe row: sentiment, more than 2 layers, embossing
PLUS row that includes image, die cut
