Summer time means wedding season! We can all have a wedding card in our stash,
and now is the time to create one and play along with the latest Retro Rubber Blog Challenge.
Life has been a bit crazy as school is finally out! So I opted for a clean and simple design with
embossed and die cut details.
Darice’s
Script background which is a paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 13, a beautiful design
for a wedding card, and it is pressure embossed on Canson silver cardstock. I used two different Stamp and Cut sets by
Hero Arts for this card, both released in 2014.
The “Yes” set is on the front with the Mr. & Mrs. sentiment. It is stamped in Delicata Silvery Shimmer and
is die cut with the heart from the set. The edges of the heart are
inked in Delicata Black Shimmer. A
section of white cardstock was sprayed with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost and
then die cut for the bride’s wedding dress and the groom’s shirt. It is a bit hard to see in the photo against the silver background. The groom’s tux is die cut from glossy black
cardstock. The little shirt piece is
easily adhered with On Point blue. These are from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Wedding Charms, the little loop was trimmed off. The
edges of the cardbase were inked with Delicata Black Shimmer before the card
was assembled. The die cuts are adhered
with dimensional foam adhesive. I do
think the little bride and groom are adorable!
The second Stamp and Cut set by Hero Arts, Congrats is used
on the inside. Congrats on your marriage
is stamped in Delicatata Black Shimmer. Clean,
simple, and lovely is what I like to say!
