I used my oldest Kaleidacolor ink pad, Spectrum, that I
finally had to re-ink after more than 20 years.
I simply ordered the correct color inkers from Imagine online and inked
that well-loved pad back up. I love how
vibrant the colors are in the pad, even on matte white cardstock. The background stamp is a very old Fiskars
roller stamp from about 1995. It is so
much fun to use with the Kaleidacolor pad, don’t you think? Yellow is not included because even with the
slide apart feature of the Kaleidacolor ink pad, the yellow would get muddied
by the surrounding colors. So, I added
in a big of yellow with the sentiment and stars. Actually, a while back I spilled one of my go
to colors of Fireworks! Sprays, Dandelion, and didn’t want to waste it so I
placed a piece of Bristol Board over the top and soaked it up. The sentiment is from the Sizzix 55921 Card
Regal Stand ups, and the stars and hearts are from Sizzix 661563 Happy Birthday
Framelits, both Stephanie Barnard designs.
The hearts got a little spritz of Fireworks! In Sweet Plum to keep the
bling going for the embellishments. To
make the hearts and stars stand out a tiny bit more I inked the edges with a
brush tip Tuxedo Black Memento Dual Tip Marker.
The sentiment and the card front are backed in black cardstock. A bit of foam adhesive helps the die cuts pop up on the busy colorful background!
