It is time for the ever popular Anything Goes at Retro Rubber Blog Challenge! Use your stamps

Within my circle of friend I know that there will be a new
baby boy welcomed to the world soon so I took this opportunity to make a card
to celebrate his arrival. First I played
around with some cardboard and my Cuddlebug Polks Dots embossing folder to
pressure emboss light blue cardstock. I
wanted to have a flat surface in the bottom third of the card to stamp the
sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Delicata
Sapphire Blue, and is from Fiskars Teeny
Tiny that came out in 2012. Next I die
cut 6 small squares with Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Squares and used the
very old (1997) Peddler’s Pack images of different baby toys. They are stamped in Delicata Silvery Shimmer. The Sapphire Blue is a newly released color
of Delicata and it is so much fun! The
card base is sponged with Delicata in Silvery Shimmer before the elements are
adhered with dimensional foam adhesive.
Clean and simple design with a bit of shimmer!

Neva, I like your modern baby card, it's lovely, the colours are so delicate and the embossing adds great detail. Cx
ReplyDeleteSweet card! I love having boy and girl cards handy at a moment's notice since they come when they feel like it LOL. You are all set with this adorable card now. Now, get ready because there's a good chance they'll have a girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've kept some flat space for stamping the sentiment. The dots work a treat for a baby card.
ReplyDeleteWish I could see this card in person! I bet the sheen is so pretty! Love the dotted texture. So smart of you to leave an untextured area for the sentiment. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet baby card, I bet the little toy images shine very pretty indeed.
ReplyDeleteHow clever the way you left the space there for your sentiment when you embossed the panel, can I ask you how did you do this?
Thank you in advance.
Hugs,
Maria.
