I decided to make a birthday card using a floral and butterfly motif. I do like how it turned out, nice and cheery!
The flowers are both from the Bella Brush by Fancy Pants Designs from about 2004. It was a large 12" x 12" sheet of acrylic stamps in a slightly grungy style. The flowers are stamped in Memento Luxe Danube Blue and Love Letter. The edges are inked with the same. The sentiment is by Taylored Expressions In and Out Birthday from September 2014. To finish the card I punched butterflies with my old Martha Stewart punches, I've had these from about 2000.
I think this a bright summery birthday greeting. Create your own Red, White, and Blue card and share it with us over at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. Our rules are simple: use at least one stamp that is older than a year (needs a little inky love), enter 10 or fewer challenges, and no back-linking.
Pretty and cheerful. Love those lacy butterflies and the hint of distressing on the edge of the sentiment strip.
