Magenta Dragonflies for Imagine May-genta

Live on the Imagine blog today!

When doing research for Imagines’ color of the month I discovered that the Dragonflies come in Magenta, who knew?  This Magenta-bodied Dragonfly is created using multiple layers of ink and the assistance of a stamp positioner.  The body is colored directly on the stamp with Memento Dual Tip Markers in Love Letter (one layer) and Lilac Posies (two layers) and the eyes are in in Tuxedo Black.  After cleaning the stamp, the entire dragonfly is then inked with VersaMark Dazzle Champagne and heat embossed with Embossing Powder in Iridescent.  A spritz of Fireworks in New Sprout finishes the front panel.  The die cut sentiment and backing layer are inked with Ink Blushers and Memento Luxe using the same formula of Love Letter and Lilac Posies.  The wings didn’t stand out enough so  StazOn Blue Hawaii is dabbed on with a Bullet Tip Fantastix that was first moistened with StazOn All Purpose Stamp Cleaner.  On Point Glue was perfect to add very small drops of glue to the sentiment to securing adhere it to the card front.  Dragonflies are iridescent in real life and I believe I captured their essence with Imagine products quite nicely!
