Back to School for Stick It Down

I know, it is not the right time of year for back to school, unless you are in Japan!  Any way I had a few photos that would work for this double page spread so I went with it!

This is what I came up with, each of my sons have a layout that features their first day photo.  This is actually my older son's last first day of school because he is a senior.  Next it will be his first day of college . . . I wonder if he will let me take a photo?

I started with two sheets of green Recollections cardstock to complement the grass and tree colors of the photos.  I pulled three patterned papers from the Me & My Big Ideas Boy collection from 2009 for the accents.  A bit of red cardstock that matched the red of the patterned paper was used for the die cuts by Elizabeth Craft Designs Entwined Circles.  A few of the shapes from the patterned paper were fussy cut or die cut with circle dies.  A hand-held Paper Shaper Corner Punch by EK Success was used to create the chevron arrow.  It is hard to see in the photo, but the square patterned paper and all the photos are die cut with the Elizabeth Craft Design Stitched Rectangles.  Frankie Classic Shadow font by Quickutz is used to create the large title.  I like the overall look and balance of the layout, and am pleased to have another one done for my soon to graduate son!
