Quick Quotes with Red White and Blue!

Quick Quotes manufactures a number of wonderful patterned papers that can be mixed and matched to create a seasonal layout such as this one for Fourth of July.  Neva here today to share with you a clean and simple design that combines several different collections to create a Red, White, and Blue layout highlighting our fun with fireworks.

Since the color of the fireworks in my photos were deep red I choose to go with Earth Wind Fire collection to pick up the red.  For the blues I selected Far and Away and Secret Garden patterns.  (A little secret here, I often make doubles of layouts, one for each of my boy's albums, so I plan ahead with what paper I have on hand to ensure I can complete both layouts!)
  • Earth Wind Fire 108 is trimmed into two sections, 7" x 12" and 5" X 12". The wider section is on the left.  The edges are inked with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Barn Board.
  • Secret Gardens 105 first trimmed to 6" x 12".   Then trimmed to 7" x 6" for the left, and 5" x 6" for the right.
  • Earth Wind Fire 105 is first trimmed to 3" x 12".   Then trimmed to 7" x 3" for the left, and 5' x 3" for the left.
  • Three sections of Far and Away 104 are trimmed to 1/2" x 12" then into 5" sections and 7" sections.  The edges are inked with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Deep Sea.  The edges of the other papers are hidden so they don't need to be inked.
  • The papers are adhered to white cardstock.
  • You may notice that the most of the seams between Earth Wind Fire center section and the other papers are covered by the photos.  This is helpful if the papers don't quite line up perfectly.  Looks like a design decision right?
  • The title is die cut from white cardstock, at first I planned to change the color with ink.  I decided that the white title was great against the red background, so white it is.
  • The journal block is created on the computer and printed on white cardstock.  The edges are inked in Barn Board.

A few of the close up of the simple embellishments created from Earth Wind Fire 500 and 600, and Farmhouse 500.  Appropriate sentiments for a family gathering on the Fourth of July.  The edges are inked in Barn Board for the red embellishments and Deep Sea for the blue embellishments.

I hope that your family had a wonderful Fourth of July and you have some fun photos to scrap with some great selections from Quick Quotes.  Besides the papers shown here, there are some amazing page kits for the July Club Q.  Go check them out and have fun creating memories!
