Sunflower Wedding Wishes for Retro Rubber

Time for another challenge over at Retro Rubber, this time a theme everyone loves!

Having an "Anything Goes" challenge was great for me, as I had a need to create a wedding card with a specific theme.  My aunt who is just shy of being two years older than I am, recently wed her long-time boyfriend.  She was married in her backyard with her two adult sons escorting her down the aisle.  She decorated with sunflowers and carried them for her bouquet.  So I dug out one of my really old rubber stamps by Auntie Amy from 1996 and created the perfect card for the newly wed couple!

To add texture and color I created a front panel with an oval die cut from the center with Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large.  After pressure embossing with Basket Weave embossing folder by Cuttlebug the raised portions were inked with Memento Luxe Dandelion.  The edges are inked with Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black.

The base of the card has the edges inked in Memento Luxe Dandelion.  Using my stamp positioner I stamped the center sunflower and masked it before stamping the two sunflowers that appear behind.  All are stamped in StazOn Jet Black.  I tapped a bit of Ink Potion No. 9 on my craft mat and picked it up with a brush tip Fantastix and coloring with both Memento Luxe Dandelion and Morocco.  To add a bit of sparkle I used Art Glitter Dries Clear adhesive and Jet Black Glitter from my stash.

The sentiment is by Cardmaking from the Sincere Sentiments released in  February 2017.  Cardmaking is a UK publication and on occasion I purchase it from my local Barnes and Noble.  This set is perfect for all kinds of congratulatory events!

So I hope you will join along with this challenge at Retro Rubber and we would love to see what you come up with!  Remember to use at least one stamp that is older than a year that needs inky love and enter only up to 10 challenges including ours.
