Father's Day Card Part One

I don't know about you, but I create three Father's Day Cards each year . . . one for my dad, one for my FIL, and one for my husband.  Life has been hectic, so finding time to craft has been challenging!  Well I've been crafting a bit, but not blogging!

This is my first version of Father's Day cards this year.  Dad and FIL are receiving the same card.  I was scrounging through my really old 8 1/2" x 11" patterned paper earlier this week and found some fun tool paper, Ronnie by Francis Meyer; ah the perfect base for a card.  Checking out my stamp stash I located the Tool Time by Technique Tuesday from 2007.  The metallic part of the tools were stamped with StazOn Jet black on Canson silver cardstock.  The remaining portions were stamped on blue and yellow cardstock.  All the tools were fussy cut.  The sentiment is by Hero Arts from the CL498 Clear Sentiments set.  Hero Arts doesn't name their sets, they just use numbers.  It is stamped in Versa Fine Majestic Blue for a nice color match to the blue cardstock.  The die cut circle is edged in Versa Color Scarlet.  By using a sketch for inspiration this card was easy to put together!

I was inspired by:

I would also like to enter the following challenges:
Die Cutting Divas #373 Father's Day
Cardz 4 Guys #196 Father's Day

Thanks for stopping by!
