I was inspired by the sketch at Sketch Saturday to pull together his quick but classic card. His school colors are scarlet and grey, so I used a scrap left on my table of Trimcraft Black Out that is the reverse pattern to complete the sketch. A bit of Offray ribbon that matched the scarlet red paper in my stash was a perfect compliment. The large graduation cap is the biggest of three sizes from Yvonne Albritten's Set #12. (I used the two smaller sizes on the card featured on Tuesday.) The "Congrats" sentiment is from one of the Studio G's $1 stamps I found at Micheals a few years back. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, using my stamp platform so I could create a good crisp image. The grad cap image is die cut with Stitched Squares by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

ReplyDeleteLOVE this card - what a great crisp design! And the colours chosen to perfection as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost sure you've played with us in the Playground before - if not then I do ask for a positive yes to be in the prize draw (only due to having to re-run as folk won who were just playing for fun :)
